The Public Relations Department seeks to serve, inform and promote the district, its students and staff.
To meet these objectives, the Public Relations department responds to media requests, hosts quarterly Parent Support Organization meetings, photographs school events and organizes content for the monthly electronic PULSE newsletter. The Public Relations Department also manages crisis communications, coordinates volunteers and updates the district’s website.

New to Peoria Unified is the ability to send text message alerts to parents and guardians as an additional layer of communication. Text message alerts will share valuable information such as early release days, upcoming events, school announcements or emergencies. It is important to note that parents are not automatically enrolled in this program. In order to indicate your willingness to receive text message alerts from the district, you must opt-in. The process is easy. You can opt-in now by texting the word SUBSCRIBE to 68453.
Text messages will only be sent out on an as-needed basis. Please note, although the district does not charge for offering this service, standard text message rates may apply. Contact your service provider for more details. For additional questions, contact 623-486-6100 or email
